Relining firewater tanks is a large part of HydraStone’s business. Typically atmospheric, and large in size, these tanks provide large amounts of cold water to protect buildings from damage caused by fire. Due to the importance of this tank and amount of water damage a leak could cause to a building, it is very important to prevent severe corrosion from taking place. Generally HydraStone relines this type of tank with epoxy or “Alkrete” coating with a life span 15years and beyond.

CSA & NSF International are organizations which focus on public health and safety certifying thousands of product yearly. ANSI’s (American National Standards Institute) accreditation to these companies ensures proper standards are being followed under the ANSI 61 Drinking Water Systems Components. It is recommended that components, which come in contact with drinking water, be tested for health effects by an ANSI credited organization.
